“Can’t wait to share this.”
Eric Barone, creator of Stardew Valley, is currently focused on the game’s upcoming multiplayer functionality.
Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, posted on Twitter: “I’m finished with the new content and have shifted all my attention to getting multiplayer ready!”
Barone also tweeted a picture of the multiplayer in action (seen above). “4-player Stardew Valley LAN party at my house… it’s really fun,” he said in the post, noting “it still needs some work, but the underlying network code is solid.”
He added: “Being in the same room and yelling at each other about what to do next, or if anyone has any stone, is great fun. Can’t wait to share this.”
Stardew Valley landed a spot on IGN’s top 25 Nintendo Switch games list last year. Previously, Barone announced a forthcoming update will add more outdoor decorations and a new town event.
