True Detective gets its very own RoboCop (maybe).
Justice League star Ray Fisher has joined the cast of True Detective Season 3.
The actor, who played Cyborg in the DC superhero movie, will be joining the crime anthology as a series regular.
According to Deadline, Fisher will play Freddy Burns, the son of Mahershala Ali’s Wayne Hays, who was confirmed to star in July 2017 after numerous rumours about his involvement.
We’re hoping Season 3 will be a return to form for the franchise after a lukewarm reception to the show’s second season, which suffered from a dip in ratings and “too much pressure” on Pizzolatto from HBO executives.
Green Room director Jeremy Saulnier is set to direct alongside series creator Nic Pizzolatto, who will be making his directorial debut for True Detective.
