Waylaid will bridge the gap between Vermintide and Vermintide 2.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is coming March 8, and free DLC for the original Vermintide has been released as a narrative lead-in to the new game.
The information comes by way of an update to the game’s Steam page. Vermintide patch 1.11 is called Waylaid, and available now.
The announcement hints at the update’s contents, saying “Lohner has a new task for you. No doubt you’re off to some forest to kill rats, right? Maybe the old goat “lost” some more incredibly dangerous relics?”
In addition, the announcement addresses issues some players are reporting with Vermintide 2. According to the post, some players have lost access to the Death on the Reik DLC which was included as a pre-order bonus, and the team is currently investigating the issue.
Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide originally released in October of 2015, and if you want to know more, be sure to check out IGN’s review, which called the game “a competent twist on the Left 4 Dead formula.” For more on Vermintide’s DLC, check out why Last Stand is like the Battle of Helm’s Deep with rats.
