Blue’s Clues is returning to Nickelodeon with brand new episodes.
Entertainment Weekly reports the network has ordered 20 new episodes for the beloved children’s show. This new take on the series will feature a “refreshed signature look.” Production will begin this summer, with Nickelodeon holding an open casting call for a new host in Southern California on April 14.
The original show ran from 1996 to 2006. It follows the titular blue-spotted dog leaving behind clues for the audience and the show’s host so they can figure out what Blue wants to do. Steve Burns hosted from 1996 until 2002, and Donovan Patton took over for the next four years.
In other television news, Amazon is developing its first half-hour animated comedy series from the creator of BoJack Horseman. Meanwhile, Netflix has released the first full-length trailer for its Lost in Space remake.
