“It’s a bit bigger.”
Bluepoint Games’ next project is a remake, but one even greater in scope than its Shadow of the Colossus remake for PS4.
When asked by Digital Foundry (via Eurogamer) if the studio’s next project would be an original title, Bluepoint president Marco Thrush replied, “Well, we could but we’re doing another remake.”
While Thrush remained tight-lipped on what the next remake might be, he did speak in broad terms about what’s next for Bluepoint. “So now our next step is, let’s improve the art pipeline, let’s improve the engine, let’s improve workflow for artists, let’s grow on the art side some more to handle our next project because it’s a bit bigger,” he said.
In addition to Shadow of the Colossus for PS4, Bluepoint has worked on a number of other remakes/remasters, including Gravity Rush Remastered, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, and several others.
With regard to Bluepoint’s next game, Thrush teased: “We’re really excited about our next project and we think you will be too when you find out what it is.”
