Lara and Kratos headline the event.
This year’s Tribeca Film Festival will include an exclusive demo for Shadow of the Tomb Raider and a panel about upcoming PS4 exclusive, God of War.
The festival will include an exclusive, extended gameplay preview of September 14 release Shadow of the Tomb Raider followed by a discussion with the game’s creative team and Camilla Luddington, who portrays Lara in the game. The event will be moderated by Geoff Keighley, producer of The Game Awards.
The Tomb Raider panel will be held on April 27 at 4 p.m. ET at the BMCC Tribeca PAC.
God of War Creative Director Cory Barlog will take players inside the creative process of moving the upcoming PS4 exclusive from Greek to Nordic settings, in a panel focused on what went into re-imagining the franchise. Festival-goers will also have a chance to get their hands on the game during the event, as the panel takes place after its release.
The God of War panel will be held on April 27 at 6 p.m. ET at the BMCC Tribeca PAC.
The festival will also include a League of Legends tournament. Called The Battle of the Boroughs, New York area players level 30 and above are invited to enter online qualifiers beginning on April 14, and finalists will compete in the amateur tournament during the festival.
A game jam will also be a part of the festival, and 15 New York-based game developers will have their games available for play at the event.
The 17th Tribeca Film Festival will take place April 18-29 in New York City, with Tribeca Games events the 27-28, and all events will be free and open to the public. The complete festival schedule, as well as free tickets to the event, are available on the Tribeca Film Festival site.
