The Fortnite comet story just got a whole lot meteor.
Season 4 of Fortnite is imminent, and so is the arrival of the mysterious comet, if the officia Fortnitel Twitter account is anything to go by.
The Fortnite comet has been the topic of much discussion since it was first spotted hurtling towards Tilter Towers last month. The in-game televisions scattered around the map are now displaying an emergency broadcast and the latest tweet from the official Fortnite account teasing Season 4 has a decidedly streaking-comet-vibe to it.
There’s no official date for the start of Season 4 just yet, but an image taken from the Battle Pass page on the game’s official website suggests that Season 4 begins in early May.
This week’s update saw the addition of placards, couches, and a telescope, on the roof of one of the buildings in Tilted Towers, further supporting the theory that the comet is due to make it’s landing any day now.
One Redditor thinks that the comet is actually a UFO, citing a Save the World quest in which a character called Lars mentions signals from space and a friend who was recently abducted.
Lars has the player gather up telescopes to observe the phenomenon in the sky, and the quest concludes with him telling the player that “we’re about to have some company.”
