Season 5 will premiere on Netflix soon.
Jeffrey Tambor will be featured in Arrested Development Season 5.
Entertainment Weekly reports the George Bluth Sr. actor will indeed return for the new season, which wrapped production in November. This is around the same time the actor departed Amazon’s Transparent last year over two separate allegations of sexual harassment. Tambor denied the allegations in a statement.
“I’ve already made clear my deep regret if any action of mine was ever misinterpreted by anyone as being aggressive, but the idea that I would deliberately harass anyone is simply and utterly untrue,” Tambor said at the time. “Given the politicized atmosphere that seems to have afflicted our set, I don’t see how I can return to Transparent.”
It’s not known how heavily Tambor will be featured in Arrested Development’s new season. According to series creator Mitch Hurwitz, Season 5 will premiere on Netflix “real soon.”
A recut version of Season 4 debuts on the streaming service today. It features “22 interwoven stories the length of the original series” rather than the 15 episodes in their original form.
