Amazon has given a 10 episode direct-to-series order.
Get Out director Jordan Peele is developing a Nazi-hunting series for Amazon Studios.
Amazon has given a 10 episode direct-to-series order for The Hunt, which centers on a diverse group of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City. After discovering hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are secretly conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the United States, the hunters go on a vengeful quest to take down the Nazis.
Peele is executive producing the series, which is based on an original idea. The show’s creator David Weil (Moonfall) will serve as a writer and executive producer. Tom Lesinski (Mr. Mercedes), Jenna Santoianni (Mr. Mercedes), and Win Rosenfeld (Dark Net) are executive producing.
“When David Weil first shared The Hunt with me, I immediately knew that we had to be involved,” Peele said. “It’s cathartic. It’s noir. It’s frighteningly relevant. It’s exactly what I want to see on television.”
The Hunt is a global exclusive for Amazon Studios and will debut in over 200 countries and territories on Prime Video. A premiere date for the series has not been set yet.
