Where to preorder all the best E3 2018 games.
UPDATED: June 14
E3 is here! Can you feel it? That ripple of excitement about all the games, distorting the very air around us. It’s like Christmas come early for anyone into gaming: we get to see all the new video games coming out in the next year, as well has upcoming games further down the line. E3 2018 showcases the coolest upcoming games from Bethesda, Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, and so many more.
As always, there are dozens of new games to see and get excited for, and thanks to more and more companies announcing their games in advance we already have details on quite a few. We’ve put together this list of E3 games you can preorder right now on Amazon. Amazon is now the undisputed king of preorder savings with $48 new-releases, thanks to Best Buy quietly murdering its excellent preorder-friendly Gamers Club Unlocked. If you’re still a GCU member, you can still get the savings, but if you never signed up, you’re out of luck.
This list is primarily Amazon preorders for upcoming games because, once again, Amazon is the best deal going for preorders. If you aren’t a Prime member, you can sign up for a free Amazon Prime 30-day trial and feel it out. Is it for you? Maybe. I can’t tell you how to live your life. When another retailer like Walmart or Gamestop has a notable deal or exclusive we’ve linked them as well.
For a completely comprehensive list, make sure to check out our ultra-thorough games at E3 2018 wiki.
One final note – some of these games, like Bayonetta 3, aren’t officially confirmed for E3 yet. But we’ve included them anyway, for your convenience.
Preorder Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Every Super Smash Bros. character EVER is returning for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Nintendo Switch. Yes. That is correct: Every Super Smash Bros. character ever. That means Metal Gear Solid and Shadow Moses Island are returning to Smash. It’s absolute insanity!
Preorder Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Poke Ball Plus Bundle
Preoders for the Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Poke Ball Plus Bundles are live across some retailers. The Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Poke Ball Plus bundle has a placeholder page on Amazon, but as of this writing it isn’t available for preorder. That’s certainly going to change, as Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Poke Ball Plus preorders go live.
Preorder Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee and Poke Ball Plus Bundle
You can preorder the Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee and Poke Ball Plus Bundle right now on Amazon, to ensure you get that sweet Poke Ball Plus goodness. I’m going to level with you here: Pikachu is great but Eevee is a much more versatile and practical Pokemon. Other retailer availability is in and out, so keep checking back to make sure you get yours.
The preorders for Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 are live and there’s even an amazing Spider-Man PS4 collectors edition at GameStop and it’s starting to pop up at other retailers, too, although the buy links aren’t live. If you don’t own a PS4 you should probably get one, (the PS4 Slim is almost always on sale), because it’s basically a lock that this game is going to rule pretty hard. No live preorders on Amazon but GameStop has Spider-Man preorders and that amazing Spider-Man collector’s edition.
Preorder Fallout 76
Fallout 76 is coming out November 14, 2018. That’s this year. Holy smokes. It’s going to be a “soft-core” online survival game (Bethesda’s words, not mine). The Fallout 76 special edition is officially called the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition, and oh by the way, you can preorder the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition right now. (Note: maybe not “right now,” as it looks like it’s already sold out, at least for the moment). It includes a wearable power armor helmet and a glow in the dark map, among other awesome additions.
You can preorder Fallout 76 and start playing it on PS4 or PS4 Pro as soon as it comes out, with Amazon’s launch day preorder delivery. Preorder Fallout 76 on Xbox One or Fallout 76 on PC, whatever your platform of choice is.
Preorder Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Ubisoft gave us a deep look into the world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Set in ancient Greece, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey looks bright and beautiful and has full-on RPG elements in addition to the classic Assassin’s Creed gameplay and style. You can preorder Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in one of three editions right now: Assassin’s Creed Odyssey standard edition, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey deluxe edition, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey steelbook Gold Edition, and the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Ultimate Edition. There’s also the Ubisoft-store exclusive Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Pantheon Collector Edition, which includes a 1/6 scale statue, steelbook, soundtrack and way more.

Preorder Kingdom Hearts 3
If you stir in a bunch of Disney into a JRPG, you get the Kingdom Hearts franchise. The latest version looks fantastic, with the characters you love and the labyrinthine KH lore to navigate. There’s an absolutely ridiculous Kingdom Hearts III Special Edition only at the Square Enix store that includes the special edition and high-quality figures of Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
Preorder Jump Force
Imagine if all your favorite Shonen Jump characters, like Naruto, Goku, and Luffy from One Piece ended up in the same universe and had to fight each other. Sounds like that creative writing story you handed in for 6th grade English, huh? Oh, that’s just me?
Preorder Devil May Cry 5
Devil May Cry 5 was shown off during Microsoft’s E3 2018 Xbox briefing and it looks pretty amazing, to be honest. Lots of bullet juggling, rapid shooting game play and demonic monsters. What’s not to love? You can preorder Devil May Cry 5 right now.
Preorder Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu!
Probably the game with the most excitement around it so far. The all-new upcoming Pokemon game for Nintendo Switch is the top-selling game on Amazon. It’s basically all anyone can think about. I know I can’t stop dreaming of the AR Pokemon/Switch future. It’s undoubtedly one of the biggest games of 2018 for Nintendo Switch and beyond.
Preorder Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee!
If you prefer Eevee, you can preorder Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee from Amazon and lock in the best preorder price on Pokemon Let’s Go. Sure, everyone loves Pikachu, but Eevee is way cuter and has better evolutions. Pikachu can surf, but do we know Eevee can’t? Not conclusively.
Preorder Rage 2
You can preorder Rage 2 and get all the rage you need to rage out on Rage 2. In case you missed the live show, Andrew WK came out raged. He’s a good guy, and a talented musician, so help support both Rage 2 and raging out to the thunderous shred that is the music of Andrew WK.

Preorder Valkyria Chronicles 4
Preorder Valkyria Chronicles 4 and get this gorgeous alternative history strategy RPG for your PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. You can preorder the Valkyria Chronicles special edition that includes a very small model of a tank. Worth it? I think so.
Preorder Red Dead Redemption II
Preorder Red Dead Redemption II and preorder one of the most anticipated sequels of all time. The Red Dead Redemption 2 release date is October 26, so you have plenty of chances to preorder Red Dead Redemption II. It’s basically a super-prequel to our inevitable West World futures, one you can experience on your PlayStation 4 Pro or Xbox One X, for maximum Red Dead resolution.
Preorder Battlefield V
Preorder Battlefield 5 at Amazon and get on the fast-paced, insanely huge battles the Battlefield franchise is known for.
Preorder Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
Battle royale comes to Call of Duty and I have to admit, I’m intrigued. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 release date isn’t until October 12, so we don’t get to see if its battle royale mode has got what it takes to knock Fortnite from its battle royal throne, but I mean, that’s a lot to ask any game.
Preorder Octopath Traveller
I’ve been wanting to play this JRPG for Nintendo Switch from the second it was announced, and that becomes closer to reality each passing day. You can preorder
Preorder Mega Man 11
Oh, hello Mega Man 11. Nice to see you again. Looking forward to meeting up later this year and trying to figure out the boss order for your new game.
Preorder Bayonetta 3
As a huge fan of Bayonetta 2, I can’t wait to see what PlatinumGames has in store for Bayonetta 3. Hopefully more of the same ridiculous action and awesome anime-tropes storyline.
Preorder Call of Cthulhu
You can’t just go into the Bass Pro Shop and get a Call of Cthulu like you can a duck or moose call. You’d be driven to madness instantly.
Preorder Crackdown 3
I think we can all agree we need Crackdown 3 in our lives, and it looks like February 2019 is when we can finally get our hands on this one. I’m not a soothsayer. I can’t see into the future. I do know for a fact you can preorder Crackdown 3 on Xbox One at Amazon.
Preorder Days Gone
The world as we know it is over, and zombies are everywhere. Not the shambling kind, either, but hyper violent zombies that want to tear you apart. Thankfully this bleak future has motorcycles and guns, two key survival ingredients.
Preorder Death Stranding
Amazon doesn’t have this Kojima Superfriends game yet, but it does have a placeholder page. Best Buy, on the other hand, does have it available, and if you’re a legacy GCU member, you can grab the discount. Otherwise, you’re out of luck.
Preorder The Division 2
The sequel to the great Division is up as an Amazon placeholder page.
Preorder Final Fantasy VII Remake
We’ve all been waiting so patiently for Final Fantasy 7 Remake. You can ensure your launch day copy now, for whenever the Final Fantasy 7 release date ends up being.
Preorder Shadow of the Tomb Raider
The modern Tomb Raider games are some of the best, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider will no doubt continue this amazing series. Preorder Shadow of the Tomb Raider and prepare yourself for raiding tombs.
Preorder Metro Exodus
The Metro series kind of surprised everyone by being really excellent and engrossing. The next chapter is up for preorder now.
Preorder Metroid Prime 4
There is no game I am more excited about, period, than Metroid Prime 4. I really hope they show something, anything, this year. I might just cry a little. As for a Metroid Prime 4 release date, that’s cloaked in mystery and shadow. Let’s just hope it’s sooner rather than later.
Preorder Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate
If you missed having Monster Hunter in a portable form, you’re in luck: it’s back, baby!
Preorder LEGO DC Villains
LEGO is applying its winning game formula to the super villains of the DC universe, and on art style alone I give it an A+.
Preorder Rage 2
Rage 2 was pretty good with the marketing after its existence was accidentally revealed. Hats off to you, Bethesda.
Preorder Skull and Bones
You can’t preorder this one yet, but there is a placeholder page in place so you can scoop it up when it goes live.
Preorder Spyro: Reginited Trilogy
The Crash remasters showed there’s a big interest in playing through old 3D platformers with modern upgrades, and Spyro is actually a better series so this is going to be nice.
Preorder Starlink: Battle for Atlas
Another Ubisoft game with a placeholder page in place. You can sign up for email alerts, don’t remember if I’ve mentioned that.
Preorder Team Sonic Racing
I don’t even care that it doesn’t make sense for a lightning-quick hedgehog to drive a car. It’s probably just easier for him. Did you ever consider his feelings?
Preorder Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion
Come on and grab your friends for this new Adventure Time game. What a great series. The games have been charming and lovely, too.
I am pretty much in love with this cover design. How cool is that? Placeholder page only, unfortunately.
It’s a new platformer starring everyone’s favorite Mushroom Kingdom dinosaur. You know, Yoshi’s Island 2 is one of the best games of all time, so maybe this one will change the landscape of gaming? Anything is possible.
