It looks like Godzilla will be unleashing one of his most powerful attacks in the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
Per EW, a new image from the sequel has been released and it provides a decent look at Godzilla’s blue atomic breath. Check out the striking image below.
King of the Monsters picks up four years after the events of the first movie, with people now panicking about the discovery of giant monsters. According to director Michael Dougherty, there’s an overreaction with plenty of paranoia and speculation.
“The world is reacting to Godzilla in the same way we would react to any other terrifying incident, in that we are overreacting,” Dougherty said.
However, Godzilla hasn’t been seen for four years now, and it sounds like he’ll be going up against the likes of Mothra, the three-headed King Ghidorah, and Rodan.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters opens in theaters on May 31, 2019. For more on the film, find out what its connection is to the 1954 original movie.
