Prime Day 2018 is live!
Prime Day 2018 is here and the deals are starting to roll out. There were some early ones, but now the real deals begin and they look like they’re going to keep coming for the entire 36 hours.
Whenever a new Prime Day 2018 deal goes live, it’s going to be right here, so if you’re after some good deals on video games, controllers, consoles, or whatever else Amazon decides to serve up on its silver Prime Day platter, we’ll have them for you right here.
We’re gathering up all the deals for you. Well, the ones we think you’d be interested in. Here’s where you can keep track of all the Prime Day 2018 deals:
If you aren’t a Prime Member, you can sign up for Amazon Prime for a free trial and get all the benefits of Prime Day without making a full commitment.
Since no Prime Day would be complete without a little competition, we’re also going to be dropping in deals from competitors, too, if they catch our Prime Day deals attention. We’ll keep updating this list as the deals go live.
There are still more Amazon Prime Day 2018 video game deals that haven’t opened up yet, like 25% off Nintendo Virtual Console games like Super Mario World and A Link to the Past, not to mention PS4 and Xbox One deals, too. Keep checking back for those deals to go live.
The Best Gaming Deals
Nintendo Switch with free SanDisk 64GB microSD card and $20 eShop card
Jump on this one, because it seems like you never find deals on Nintendo Switch. While this isn’t a discount, it’s a fantastic deal with some excellent freebies to entice you to finally grab yourself Nintendo’s sweet hybrid console.
Buy a Nintendo Switch and 1 Game for $322 at Walmart
This is a Prime Day deal only because it’s a deal that happens to fall on Prime Day 2018. Walmart has been paying attention, biding its time to drop this deal on a new Switch and one of four great games. Just follow the link and choose which Switch you want (I recommend the neon one), then add Super Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and get them both for $329.
The following game deals for Prime Day 2018 are live now. These prices are at checkout, and you have to be an active Amazon Prime subscriber to take advantage of them.
All this art for so little money? Seems almost… criminal?
This is one of my gaming shames: I own Persona 5 but I haven’t played more than a couple hours. It’s really good, too, I’ve just been busy. Now you can add it to your shame pile like me.
New Nintendo 3DS XL Super NES Edition + Super Mario Kart
List price $199. Comes with Super Mario Kart on Virtual Console, plus just look at that thing. It’s so beautiful. The New 3DS is the way to go, in my opinion. That little extra thumb stick makes Metal Gear Solid 3D an absolute joy to play on the go.
Elgato Stream Deck for $99.99
Take your streaming to a whole new level of professionalism with this 15-key customizable control deck from Elgato.
Xbox One S 1TB with 3-month Live Gold and 3-month Game Pass
List price $299.99. Don’t forget, while the Xbox One S might not play games in 4K, it plays 4K Blu-rays in HDR, so if you want to get a great 4K Blu-ray player that also happens to play Xbox One games, this is a stellar deal.
SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless Gaming Headset and Gaming Mouse for $329
This is a high-end gaming headset. Super high-end, as a matter of fact, and if you’re a Prime Member you can get it right now for $329 along with a SteelSeries Rival 600 Gaming Mouse.
Upcoming Xbox One, PS4 and Switch Game Deals
There are still a lot of deals that haven’t started yet, and Amazon hasn’t given any indication of when they’re going up, just that they ARE going up.
Samsung Gear VR w/Controller for $89.99
If you have a Samsung compatible phone, you can lose yourself in the magic of VR with this great deal on Samsung Gear VR and a controller.
SanDisk Ultra Memory Card Deals
These aren’t Switch branded (see below) but they will 100% work with your Switch.
List price $69.99.
SanDisk Ultra 128GB MicroSD Card for $23.88
Amazon says it’s for Kindle stuff… but it’s a Micro SD card, it works for anything that accepts the format, including the Nintendo Switch.
Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 8GB GPU for $259.99
This is a great deal for a lot of reasons, one of which is the value of the AMD ecosystem. You can usually get FreeSync-enabled monitors for a lot cheaper than their G-Sync counterparts, and anti-screen tearing is a huge benefit to gaming. Plus this is a beastly card for not a lot of money.
NVIDIA Shield TV and Controller for $179.99 at Amazon
Amazon Prime Day has a few early deals, like this Nvidia Shield TV with remote and controller for $179.99. We named this the best 4K streaming device, and its Nvidia game streaming functionality is basically the icing on the Prime Day cake.
